Akropolis Reed Quintet

This Akropolis Reed Quintet performs on an unusual set of instruments, but the result is an unforgettable sonic experience.  The combination of saxophone, clarinet, bass clarinet, oboe, and bassoon requires that much of their music is either newly-composed, or new arrangements of music composed for a different medium.  That is taken not as a handicap, but rather as a challenge for this group which has commissioned at least 25 new works.  Do not miss this concert!

Tim Gocklin, oboe
Kari Dion, clarinet
Matt Landry, saxophone
Andrew Koeppe, bass clarinet
Ryan Reynolds, bassoon

The quintet plays with imagination, infallible musicality, and huge vitality.”
